5 years in Emerson

shine bright like a diamond.
yan ang peg ko last monday for our company’s service awards night. ayyyy! bet! ikaw, bet mo? hahahaha! happy 5 years to me. congratulations to me ^_^ i’m one shala watch richer. bwahahaha!
thank you, Emerson! xx

the program started at 6:45 pm sharp. dinner time! yay! the food was okay. after dinner, just a little opening remarks and the rest of the night is awarding. all 400 or so employees went up the stage, shook hands with the bosses, had their photos taken with their plaque and then a group photo (by batch). there were intermissions. i remember i had a girl crush on one of the dancers. she got moves and she’s pretty! thumbs up. i wonder what our GM thought that whole night. he barely sat. he was standing on stage all the time during awarding. i guess he thought “what have i gotten myself into?”. hahahaha! i just hope he had a good night rest and atleast liked the food. hehehe.

so last monday night was fun coz hey, it’s always fun dressing up ^_^ right?

so. before all the hustle and bustle at night, let’s talk about the preparation time. lol. i woke up a bit early so i won’t have to rush for my hair and make up appointment. i made sure i ate enough to keep me full until dinner. anyways, so i was early for my appointment. i was at the salon at around 3:15pm (my appointment was 3:30) and i didn’t have to wait since it’s a monday. just a couple of customers were there. i liked it when he said he wanted something flirty for my hair..curls! yiii! for the make up, i forgot to specifically ask to just make it light because i kinda got swept away by what he wanted to do with my hair and thought i’ll let him do whatever he likes with the make up because he seems like he knows what he’s doing. halfway through, i fetl that my makeup is a bit too much. i’m not used to having bold eye make up coz based on experience, previous stylists chose to keep it on the neutral side. i remember one time they used bronze shade and i loved it! so when he put blue eyeshadow as base, i was like, wtf?! and i panicked a bit telling the girl who was curling my hair it’s too much. she said i shouldn’t worry because it’s just a base and it’s not yet finished and that when it’s all done i’m gonna look like a celebrity (sa loob loob ko, may libre pang pambobola. hanep sa pampalubag loob ha.) so i told myself that if i don’t like the outcome, i’ll just try my best to tone it down myself since my friend, joy, was already out of the office and won’t be able to help me. i really didn’t have any idea how i’d do it though so that may mean i’ll have to totally wipe off the make up from my face. so did i like the result?

i love it! except maybe for the foundation because it’s a bit cakey after a while, though you won’t notice it from the photos. but up close, yeah..it’s all cake. was it because i used ponds after i showered? maybe i should’ve left it completely clean after washing. maybe. oh well.

will i use the service again for our year end party (1920’s, gatsby style)? we’ll see. :)
