later will be the anniversary of one of the most unforgettable days of my life - the unfortunate day i rode the same bus with 3 low-life holduppers.

it was around 1:30 am, sept 14 2010, when i rode the bus on shaw blvd going to makati. just past the intersection on shaw, someone from the back stood up and shouted “mga p*tangina nyo!holdap to!”. i thought, is this really happening? then 2 other guys stood up, gathered all the valuables and put it into a big backpack bag. i voluntarily gave my wallet and my back-up nokia cellphone thinking that they would leave me alone afterwards. unfortunately, i was seated beside a girl who made a lot of fuss and did a tug-of-war with her bag. this made one of the criminals to stand on the end of our seat and pound her on the head until she let go of her bag. my dslr bag was on my side and i was trying so hard to cover it since i can’t put it under the seat because, of course, he’ll notice. i was looking down trying not to make a scene because they were threatening to shoot the girl if she doesn’t cooperate. maybe then he saw my camera bag while he was standing there and just took it. they also took my bag and rummaged through it taking other valuables. well, at that point, all i was thinking about was my safety and i wasn’t gonna bargain my life over it. instead of taking a right on ayala ave, they made the driver take the tunnel and there they took off and rode another bus. there were just 8 passengers if i remember right, but only 5 of us who went with the bus driver and conductor to the mandaluyong police station and reported the crime. apparently, i was the one who lost a lot of valuables - my 2 cellphones (nokia and samsung), my ixus75 digicam, my nikon d3000..and my cute pink dress!huhu. it gave us 5 minutes of fame though, for it was aired over unang hirit in the morning and saksi(?) in the evening. my parents saw me on tv and several of my friends and officemates as well. lol. unforgettable indeed.

by now, i was able to replace my dslr - same model but planning to upgrade next year - and my phone. i even remember getting my monthly bill from globe and saw that they used it to call someone in bulacan and shared 300 pesos worth of load, which i paid. major major assholes! i haven’t bought a digicam yet because i was looking for the same features as my old ixus 75 which is now hard to find. aww, if only lizeth would sell me hers. hahahaha! :)) i don’t know if the police were able to capture them but i’m sure karma will. ;-)
