so.i opened my fb account last night and saw a friend request from a certain ruvic something.our common friends are my cousins.looked at his photos but i didn't recognize him.and as i read some of the photo comments, i recognized a name.a name connected to an unforgettable wicked summer with cousins.
we may deny it now, but we were happy then..but, no, not inlove.there were these twins - let's call them RAi and RAii, and a boy who we will call b1 (i'm not sure if he's originally friends with the twins).
b1 was courting my cousin es.b1 was a bakasyonista just like us who lives in the same town.RAi was courting my cousin, kathy.he lives outside of our town but frequently visited kathy.needless to say, he was smitten.then we discovered he has a twin, RAii, and we were introduced.and the six of us were inseparable since then.and one fateful day, may 16 nineteen-kopong-kopong to be exact, we went to the beach.and by the end of the day,we were all couples.and believe me..we did NOT plan it.we enjoyed every bit of it while it lasted.
the dreaded day came.the end of the vacation.time to go back to the big city for school.b1 and RAi went to manila, too - b1 is originally from manila and RAi chose to study here - while RAii is in cebu,where he chose to study.we try to see each other every so often along with their partners and of the three of us cousins, i was the sad one.i was the one without a partner.days turned to weeks.weeks turned to months.RAii tried to call me as often as he can (remember, this was when long-distance calls was still expensive) but my feelings for him slowly faded.so as my cousins'.and one by one,we broke up with our then boyfriends.it wasn't summer anymore and the magic was gone.
RAi,being heartbroken and all,started calling me for answers and reasons on why kathy broke up with him.unable to give him any answers,i felt sorry for him.he kept calling and i listened as a friend.later on,he confessed that he likes me and asked me if he can court me.wait wait wait...anu daaaawww???didn't he realize i'm his ex's cousin AND, for pete's sake, his twin's ex!since then i didn't answer any of his calls and finally,after a couple of weeks, he stopped calling.
